Who Won the Battle: Convoy Skateboards Announces Results of Battle of the Pyramid Contest

As predicted, the Convoy Skateboards head-lined Battle of the Pyramid Contest held on 29 March 2008 at the Arlington Powhatan Springs Skatepark located at 6020 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22205 was an epic success. The turnout of local skaters of all ages reached over 300 and the event was featured on such industry media outlets as Fuel.tv, Thrasher.com, Focus Magazine, Transworld.com, and SouthOfTheNorth.com.

Congratulations to all contestants who came out to support the event and demonstrate their skills and abilities amongst their peers. Those who brought their A-game to the event are as follows:

ADVANCED

1st Place - Brandon Bonner (Pop-shuvit tail grab to flat, stale-fish 180 to flat, cannonball)

2nd Place - John Franco (Kickflip backside 5-0 to shuvit out)

3rd Place - Eric Johnson (Krazy flippy flips!)

INTERMEDIATE

1st Place - Graham Marsh

2nd Place - Gregg Russell

3rd Place - Mathew Amgrogi

BEGINNER

1st Place - Coco

2nd Place - Yves Pailma

3rd Place - Carson Brom & Matt Magnolia (2-way Tie!)

Convoy Skateboards was established in the summer of 2005. It is a skateboard company dedicated to portraying the best possible image for skateboarding.
