Go Skateboarding Day: Convoy Does it Again! 2ND Annual Go Skateboarding Day Contest & Jam!

Convoy Skateboards will host its 2nd Annual Go Skateboarding Day Jam & Contest at the Arlington Powhatan Springs Skatepark located at 6020 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22205 from 11:00AM to 5:00PM on Saturday, 21 June 2008.

This much-anticipated event is co-sponsored by industry icons such as Zoo York Skateboards, Vans Shoes, DC Shoe Company USA, Pro-Tec Helmets, EastCoast BoardCo., SouthOfTheNorth.com, Red Bull Energy Drink, and Aplomb Clothing. FIT Arlington, a county run program, has also endorsed this community event.

Registration for the contest is available right now at http://www.convoyskateboards.com/goskate, while day-of registration will begin at the Skatepark at 11:00AM. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes in the contest. Live music will be played during the entire day by a variety of DC-Area local acts. Every skater's favorite thing, of course, is that FREE GEAR will be available all day long provided by Convoy Skateboards and the above mentioned sponsors so be sure to get in the product tosses.

All Convoy Skateboards products will be on sale at the event for special, 'event-only' prices. Be sure to pick up a Convoy deck and Convoy sweatshirt. Be on site to be one of the first to own the highly anticipated Convoy wheels and new Convoy tee designs.
